Instructions for Rapporteurs

Oral Sessions

For regular session, a laptop PC with PowerPoint (Office 2007) and Adobe Acrobat Reader for pdf files (suggested) is available in the room. Speakers can also employ their own laptop, however this option is discouraged in order to reduce the time interval between the presentations.

Poster Sessions

Posters should have a maximum size of 95 cm x 195 cm in portrait (vertical) orientation and have to be sellotaped to the panel at the beginning of the session, at the time indicated in the program. Then, a presenter is required to be at the poster during the coffee breaks and, if possible, during the lunches. Authors can leave the poster unattended during the other regular sessions in order to participate to them.

Line

All papers submitted to the IFAC-SAFEPROCESS 2012 are subjected to the IFAC copyrights conditions. Draft and final versions of papers follow accomplish the IFAC style and layout instructions summarized in the Guidelines section in www.ifac-control.org/events/information-for-ifac-authors. All papers must be provided in Portable Document Format (PDF) as a single file.

The decision regarding the acceptance of each paper is at the discretion of the conference's Technical Program Committee. The material submitted for presentation must be original, not published or being considered elsewhere. All papers accepted for presentation will be distributed to the participants on a CD together with a printed book of summaries, including also the plenary papers and the final program. Papers duly presented at SAFEPROCESS 2012 will be hosted and freely available on-line on the web-site www.IFAC-PapersOnLine.net.

For "publication" in the symposium proceedings, all accepted and invited papers are limited to six (6) pages. If the paper is accepted, at least one of the authors listed on the paper must attend the symposium and present the paper according to the scheduling. In the event that the presenter is unable to attend the conference for any reason, it is his responsibility to insure that the paper is presented by a qualified colleague.

At least one of the authors listed on the paper must register with full fee for the 8th IFAC-SAFEPROCESS-2012 to upload the final manuscript.

Student registrants may upload one final paper.
Regular registrants may upload up to three final papers.

IFAC Copyright Policy

Copyright of material presents at the symposium is held by IFAC. Authors will be required to transfer copyright electronically. The IFAC journals and, after these, IFAC affiliated journals have priority access to all contributions presented. However, if the author is not contacted by an editor of these journals, within three months after the meeting, he/she is free to submit an expanded version of the material presented for journal publication elsewhere. In this case, the paper must carry a reference to the IFAC meeting where it was originally presented and, if the paper has appeared on the web-site www.IFAC-PapersOnLine.net, also a reference to this publication.

All questions related to initial and final manuscript submission should be directed to the Editor Chair: Carlos M. Astorga Zaragoza astorga@cenidet.edu.mx and the Symposium Secretariat: Maximino Resendiz SafeProcess12@iingen.unam.mx
