Free Guided Tour of the University City

The Office of Culture Dissemination offers to the IFAC symposium participants 80 tickets for a guided tour in English of the central campus of the University which is a UNESCO World Heritage. The English tour takes 2 hours and according the technical program it has been divided in two days; Wednesday and Thursday during the lunch time (13:30 to 14:30 h).

Note: the attended with included lunch registration will be provided at the beginning of the tour with a box with a Mexican lunch.

If you are interesting to get a ticket, please send as soon as possible an email to Mr. Maximino Resendiz, mresendiz@iingen.unam.mx and you will get back a confirmation.

Since there is a tickets limitation, I ask the Mexican colleagues let the foreign the opportunity to visit our campus in the English tour. Friday, there is Spanish tour of two hours starting at 13:30 from the Rectory Building. This tour does not require a reservation.

Mexican Folkloric Ballet at Palacio de Bellas Artes

As part of the cultural activities, the Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández is includes 29th Wednesday at 20:30 h. The performance es in the Palacio de Bellas Artes (downtown). Bus transportation from the University Campus to the Palace and coming back to the Symposium Hotels is available.

If you have full registration or accompanying registration the ballet ticket is included. If not, we provide a limited number of tickets for the participants with discount. Two rates are available.

Banket at Hacienda de Tlalpan

The ex Hacienda de Tlalpan is an exclusive and prestigious Restaurant of Mexico, is situated to the South of the city of Mexico. It is a place known for many years with an imposing building dating back to the 18th century. Free transportation will be provided from the symposium hotels to the Hacienda with return.

To know Mexican Culture two important places are recommended, its markets and churches. Thus, together with these places, the celebrations, even a small party, describe deeply our culture, a blend between Europe and America.
