Best Solution

A benchmark model on fault detection and fault-tolerant control of wind turbines was presented at SAFEPROCESS 2009. A competition has been set up to find the best solution to the problems proposed for this model. Whereas the results of the first part of the competition on fault diagnosis will be presented on the IFAC Congress 2011, the solutions to the second part are solicited for SAFEPROCESS 2012. Paul M. Frank Award

The University of Duisburg-Essen has established an award in the memory of Professor Paul M. Frank who was one of the pioneers and great contributors to the fault diagnosis area. The Paul M. Frank Award will be given at SAFEPROCESS 2012 to honor the best theoretical paper presented. The award consists of a certificate and an amount of 1000 euros. A separate committee will evaluate all entries, and the winner will be announced during the symposium.
